Daddy daughter Days: My Official Notice.

Hi. Mariel's Dad, here. (You can tell by the color of the font.)

We did a rare, first-Sunday-of-the-month shift at our church's food pantry this afternoon.  The coordinator specifically asked if we could help out today.  Luckily, we had previously decided to cancel our flea market plans, so we were free this week.

Amazingly, there joint was jumpin' with a really full crew manning the pantry and another group working outside to plant a vegetable garden.  The good news was that one of the new volunteers was a girl Mariel had hit it off with a couple years ago at a different meet-up.

The bad news is, there was just too much noise and activity for our neuro-divergent heroine to handle.  By the time we got home, she was an exhausted wreck.  This sort of thing has happened before.

Before she completely burned out, we managed to watch the "Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers" movie.

Two thumbs up.  Even though neither of us had a frame of reference on the original Disney Afternoon series, it wasn't really a prerequisite for enjoying the comedy of the movie.

Let's see if Mariel will want to add more comments about it tomorrow.

In the meantime... DAD OUT!

Thanks, dad! Yes, I was VERY rung out with pantry today. And with that, dad and I will be putting in our official notice. Basically we'll be retiring from the pantry business as nice as it was. But yes. This movie was a home run! Definitely seemed like something that would come out of the cinema. This movie was basically their "Who Framed Rodger Rabbit?!" of 2022. With a mix of live action and a colorful range of various art styles! I'm currently doing a lot better after nibbling on some french fries from Burger King.

(Note: I may still be doing work at the food pantry, sans daughter. We shall see...)

Expect my official review on the Bob's Burgers movie soon! I say MY cuz Godmother\aunt will be flying in next week and we'll likely go see it together.
