Daddy Daughter Days: Didn't Leave Empty Handed

Weather was shit today, so plans to go to the flea market were cancelled. Luckily, there's a shopping mall in the same area (kind of), and we haven't visited in a while. So why not go. so here's a rundown of the day.

Morning.

We started our morning off with Home Movies and French toast while talking about ideas for comics amongst other projects. Dad recently garbage-picked 3 shelves in the neighborhood and wanted to try cleaning them off after our mall ventures today. That was the plan!

We arrived at the mall around 10:30. But when we went up to the doors, it said the official Sunday hours were 12:00pm-5:00pm...Well? How were we gonna kill all that extra time? By walking past all of the closed stores of course! So we walked around for a little bit and watched the kitties over at the animal shelter that just so happened to be in the mall. We spotted a tiny calico kitten that even dad thought was cute. After that, we stopped at Goodwill.

Afternoon

Now I've only been to this particular location once prior to this. And I didn't have much luck that time, only leaving with a Webkinz. At the time, this location had actually moved from a plaza not too far from where we were. So it was understandable that they didn't have much stock. But today was much different! Dad wound up with a vinyl and some blank CD-Rs. I wound up with two Build a Bears, a Hoops and Yo-Yo plush door greeter, and some tapes. One of the tapes I got just so happened to be a home video recording of Power Rangers stuff. I may consider putting it up on the local Craigslist and ask if anybody has Adult Swim home recordings that I can trade for. Until then, time to give what would usually be a "sold as blank" tape a watch.

After that, both of us started to get very thirsty, so we stopped at a McDonalds! Dad and I ordered ourselves some fountain drinks and a couple burgers while we let time pass. Once the clock hit noon, off we went to the mall.

Well...Here's what I wound up with from both trips.

Now to see what plans are for tonight.
