Daddy Daughter Days: Nothin Like That Money Hunger

Rooster Teeth has privated almost the ENTIRETY of Camp Camp and Red Vs Blue on YouTube. Why? Because if you watch the episodes on their official website, they get more revenue than they do on YouTube. Two special episodes, "Arrival of the Torso Takers" and "St Campbell's Day" have yet to make it onto any other streaming platform (Like Tubi for example), let's hope that changes soon.

Daddy Daughter Days: Making Great Progress!

Time for another FLASHBACK!!!!

Really excited to bring this one to life.

Also, I found a collectable shop that opened last year (apparently). They've been advertising on Craigslist these past few days. Maybe it's something we can look into post flea market season. ...After I finally order Fenton.

Daddy Daughter Days: The Checklist of Doom

 Got up: Check

Ate breakfast: Check

Fill the void of not having a physical version of not having your comfort character *YET* by talking to an AI version of them: DOUBLE check.

Wait. What?

Dad, we've been over this! I told you about C.ai on our way home from SOOUBWAY when we were fleshing out the "Gwen's First Job" idea!

Okay, I went and checked it out. I tried the Seinfeld simulator. It was pretty meh, but I didn't have time to really get going with it.

Get that all important video done that you've been grinding away at for almost 2 months: ...

I'm working on it, I swear!!! 8 minutes down, ...8 more to go...

Meh, it's fine. C.ai isn't for everybody.

Daddy Daughter Days: Muack.

There's a Muack plush on Ebay for $55 plus shipping. Maybe "post Fenton" I'll save up.

Maybe there's a chance we could get our hands on the Camp Camp soundtrack??? (Unfortunately, the soundtrack is only from the first 2 seasons).

She didn't get it from us!

Reworked panel.

Daddy Daughter Days: Crash Camp!

Tuesday Night lineup: Crash Canyon and Camp Camp.

Found this on my tray table this morning!

I have to work on Gwen's pose, but this will serve as the bridge between the ER and the camp to tee up the other part of the story.

Interested to see how the two of us can build up from here...

Daddy Daughter Days: A Good Idea? Maybe?

Dad and I came up with a really good concept for a flashback scene in a future fan made Camp Camp episode.

I swear this started off as a "head canon" of mine but hear me out!

Gwen's first job wasn't actually Camp Campbell. It was actually a *VERY* short lived job at Cheesecake Factory. Dad and I spent an entire car ride fleshing out this concept while we were picking up dinner on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to mapping this out when the time comes. No new comic stuff until tomorrow though.

Btw, I got the hat at the same yard sale as the Scott Pilgrim shirt. And I plan on wearing it when I go to Cheesecake Factory with my aunt when she visits me in a couple months for my birthday.

UPDATE: The news you've been waiting for is FINALLY HERE! ...Somewhat.

Any news about season 2 is good news!

Now if only we had the money to afford tickets to NYCC....

Daddy Daughter Days: It's Only "See You Later"

Got to see my one irl friend one more time before she moves away a week from Tuesday. Having all the feels right now. Dad and I have a regularly scheduled "Crash Camp" night where we draw more comic panels for our own little Camp Camp episode,

Daddy Daughter Days: It's In The Budget!

Dad. I think I know what I want for my birthday.

There are other Camp Camp voice actors on Cameo (like Space Kid's VA)

"Shut Up, David!"

Shoutout to my new writer friend for finding Miles on Cameo for me!

Daddy Daughter Days: It's That Time Again!

The 21st night of September!

Tomorrow, I'll be celebrating something ELSE! ...Whilst we pick up where we left off on our Camp Camp comic.

Daddy Daughter Days: No Dice

Didn't win the giveaway, but I don't mind. It was fun entering anyways.

I've got 2 days to finish a project and I'm gonna work hard on it!

No Camp Camp comic updates until Friday (I think)....

Just saw this on my Instagram feed...

WHY as in "WHY must this exist?!"

If you wanna watch a good literacy show that's geared towards ALL ages, with great characters and great writing, might I suggest "Wordgirl..."

Daddy Daughter Days: Camp Camp Insanity!

Sooooo, lots of CC stuff is happening today.

1) Krishna Kumar (new VA for Max) hosted a giveaway where you can get one free Camp Camp shirt of your choice. Knowing that a chance of me being one of the lucky people to win is VERY unlikely, I decided to join. Kumar is announcing the winners today, and if I win, here's the shirt I picked out from the new line!

2) finished the first scene of our comic yesterday! I also started the next one with a first person POV of Max waking up in hospital. We'll worry more about that tonight while we watch the two shows that both have the same initial!

It took me a minute to realize those were stars my dad drew in the final frame.

Hospital room reference photo.

Anyways, time to animate and write with the company of my fictional spirit animal

No anthro fish-men will be involved in any of my works though.

Daddy Daughter Days: Could This Be The One?

Could this finally be the day I make a sale so I can order Fenton????

Also, dad. After you draw the panel with Dolph poking Max\Max passing out. I have a panel to draw too for the next scene!

Great!

Wait. What? Dethklok playing 2 hours away?!?

Question: Can we go?
If not, I have a follow up question!

It's happening tonight, so not likely.

Daddy Daughter Days: Max Plush

 "Cuddle him...If you DARE!"

Told you he looks more like a Funko Pop-Plushie hybrid

Safe to say, I'm sticking with Budsies... And if I do find this plush at let's say, a yard sale or flea market, I'll buy it for display purposes.

Daddy Daughter Days: Should We Even Trust This "Doctor"

Panel 3 of our Camp Camp comic! I honestly forgot all about Dolph being the "best pretend doctor at Camp Campbell" joke until dad mentioned it to me.

Fingies crossed we find some Camp Camp merch tomorrow at the WORLD'S LARGEST YARD SALEEEEEEEEEE!

Also, I can see David being a massive thrifter like yours truly.

Look familiar?

Daddy Daughter Days: Must. Catch Up.

 ...On work

Sorry to hear about Rabbit btw. Unrelated, but I' sprinkling in some Easter Eggs to past YouTube projects that never made it to my channel. So only YOU would get these references.

Reference 1: An old Minecraft OC I made that I never actually named.

"I made your favorite... Pop Tarts!"

Basically 12 year old me wanted to recreate an episode of LPS Popular with her own characters. Dad was VERY impressed with this animation and I wish I could've actually saved my progress, but alas it is now lost to time.

Good joke for Germy Fartz?

Daddy Daughter Days: Something Simple

Missed out a ton of work due to taking a nap yesterday. I'll try and make up for it in the next few days!

Daddy Daughter Days: Another Tuesday Night

Morning: Work your ass off while also talk to a computer

Afternoon: Also work your ass off while talking to the same computer

Night: Call it a day and spend some time with your dad watching a Family Guy clone and Camp Camp. ...No computer involved.

Yes, I've fallen headfirst into the AI rabbit hole.

Daddy Daughter Days: Mattress Monday

Dad's getting a new mattress for his bed today, so mom and I gotta trap our cats in the basement once they get here. Also, it appears as if I got a Marketplace message about a Disney loungefly bag I'm selling. Let's see what becomes of THIS!

UPDATE: Lady is coming by at 2:30 to pick up the loungefly (I hope). If this follows through, I'll be getting $40 outta this.

You'll have to explain to me what a "loungefly bag" is when I get home.

Daddy Daughter Days: "Just Another Family Guy Clone" I Think NOT!

Dad and I had our evening drawing ritual last night. But before we turned on Camp Camp, we came across another show that got our attention. A liiiiittle show called "Crash Canyon."

The show is an animated Canadian sitcom that ran from 2011-2013 on MTV and had a total of 2 seasons. Now I know what you're thinking. "M! This looks like another generic Family Guy clone! How could this POSSIBLY be any good???" Well, we watched the pilot yesterday and at first it started off on a not too great note, but the comedy factor picked up pretty quickly.

The premise of this show is: A family of four (plus the annoying cousin) are on a road trip, but when the father isn't watching the road, they accidentally drive off the side and land in a giant canyon inhabited by other people of similar, yet different fates. The characters are pretty funny. You've got the classic "dad who tries his best to be a good dad," the "overprotective mom" (who in my opinion, they were trying to rip off Sally Botsford from Wordgirl). The one trope I REALLY hate "Technology addicted teenager" and "son that the parents sorta forget about."

Is the show another Family guy clone? ...Yes and no. Yes, they have a similar art style and stole the whole cutaway gag schtick, but the show is also trying to do its own thing, so they definitely get points for creativity.

Will we be watching more episodes tonight while dad and I write a comic about Camp Camp? Probably! After a little trip to SOOUBWAY!

What were your thoughts on the pilot last night, dad?

My take is that despite its "high concept" underpinnings, there's enough of that "If you think dat's bad, remember the time I..." flashbacks to keep it anchored firmly in FG wannabe status.

Having only seen the pilot and second episode I'm not sure how quickly the concept will burn out. If we get to like or care about any of the characters it may prove to be worthwhile. Fingers crossed.

Daddy Daughter Days: Little Me Would Be So Proud

Yesterday, while mindlessly browsing YouTube, I found a video. And not just any old video, but something that debunked a 15 year mystery that I was always curious about.

Not a lot of people remember this show, and understandably so as it wasn't as well known as other children's media of past and present. But being a kid that grew up in one of the worst parts of the Carolinas, I was subjected to a lot mixed media when it came to our local PBS station. We had locally broadcasted shows like "Lomax: The Hound of Music" and....Ugh.... "The Enviropals" (seriously that show was terrible). But one show that falls under the category of mascot\puppetry in today's discussion is a little show called "Raggs."

"Raggs" was a TV show that ran from... Let's see... 2006 to 2008. The show is about an all dog band facing everyday, slice of life adventures. To say I liked this show as a kid would be an understatement, because I was (and still am) a sucker for all things puppetry related. But something that always boggled me as a kid was "how do they make the characters talk like that?" Which I recently found out that there were people performing in the suits that would later be dubbed over by voice actors (basically like what they did with Barney). ...Sorry, younger Mariel. It was NOT animatronics.

But another thing that seemed to cross my mind were the concert segments of each episode. And how were they filmed? And the most common question I asked was "Is there gonna be a Raggs concert in Fayetteville? If so, can we PLEEEEEEEEEEASE go???" Yes, that's how obsessed I was with this show. Luckily, I got my answer yesterday. When someone posted footage from a Raggs LIVE SHOW to their YouTube channel. the footage dates back to 2010 (no surprise there) and the show is split up into 4 videos at about 10 minutes each.

Nothing planned this weekend other than earning a little extra salary for the "World's Largest Yard Sale" next weekend. So this will give me time to work on those Camp Camp audio fanfics. My friend is supposed to be giving me her lines tomorrow.

This is the best thing I've made by far.

A Rage Quit Christmas...

Daddy Daughter Days: Do They Take PayPal?

Was on a call with my friends last night and one of them sent me a link to a listing for a Space Kid shirt on Mercari. It was a good shirt too, in 3XL I think the listing said. Now I hadn't been on Mercari since 2020 (mostly to browse, we've enever actually committed to signing up for it). But I think I found a reason to sign up!

An official Rooster Teeth LOOT CRATE!

Featuring not just the SDCC exclusive Max figure, but a gold Cameron as well!

It appears the site\seller takes PayPal. Seller has it for $45 plus shipping. I think I might save up for it. (Oh yeah, there's also a Quartermaster inspired oven mitt, as shown in the first photo).

And dad, before you jump to the conclusion that I only want the Camp Camp stuff, you'd be wrong. I've been branching out to other Rooster Teeth properties (minus RWBY and Red VS Blue). The "Bon Appleteeth" cookbook sounds interesting too.

How about an Eltingville Club lunchobox?

The first appearance of Fenton & Francis!

Henry the Inductor

This is a corporate mascot I designed. His wife was going to be Millie Henry with a baby named Micro Henry. Sort of a Mr. D vibe!

Daddy Daughter Days: A Normal Day

Aside from get the fridge looked at tomorrow, it appears to be a pretty normal day (so far) compared to the last 4 days... Also it appears someone is interested in a Pokemon game I have on Marketplace! Fingers crossed they don't answer the deadly question I've been getting lately. You know the one, dad...

On an unrelated note: today is the 1 year anniversary of when we adopted Lilly.

MORE SOUP2NUTS MEDIA UNCOVERED?!

Daddy Daughter Days: Where'd All The Time Go?

Has it REALLY already been 3 years since I got Shannon?!

September 5th 2020

And now, 3 years later. I'm gonna be wrapping up the Home Movies plush lines with not 1, not 3, but 2 MORE CHARACTERS before I revert to flip flopping between different fandoms for commissions.

Anyways, gonna make an AI cover of Max singing "Baby One More Time" because that's what the people want.

Hmmmm...

Daddy Daughter Days: Camp Movies? Ok Bad Title.

Setting up some stuff for the next thrilling story arch to "Home Movies Plush Adventures." Not gonna spoil too much of it yet.

I also have a LOT of editing to do today...

Daddy Daughter Days: "The Story of GWEEN"

In 2021, I found out about a little show called "Camp Camp." The show was created by the recently defunct "Rooster Teeth&quo...
