Daddy Daughter Days: Life After Home Movies

 I've already come up with my latest dumb idea for after the Home Movies collection is completed.... Just gotta draw the reference sheet.

Anyways, dad's back at work now after spending the week sick. He spent the week watching a new YouTube channel he discovered, and whenever I wasn't either working on projects or being sick myself, we'd binge Camp Camp. I found out about the show in mid 2021 when the season 2 finale was *FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON* trending on TikTok. I got into it for a short period of time before flaking out a week later. 

Dad and I currently made it to season 4, and it took 2 WHOLE EPISODES for the season to actually be enjoyable. I won't hold a grudge against that because sometimes shows have bad episodes that eventually lead to good episodes during a season's run. We left off on Season 4 episode 5, so let's pick up on that tonight after work. I'll even break out the sketchpads like always. 

Also: I got a sale on some Bluey figures!!!! 

Customer is coming by at 3:00 for pickup. Should get $15 outta this.

 I listed a bunch of video games on marketplace yesterday. Most of them are mainline, so I expect that they'll move quickly. But how I expected this to finally happen is astonishing.

Me: Receives a message about one of the games on marketplace.

(unoriginal name here): Hi I was wondering if you could give me this game free of charge, [bla bla bla] I wanna give this to my mom for her birthday [bla bla bla]. I hope you have a good heart.

I didn't even bother to respond. Dad, maybe you could pass this along to your friend next time you talk to him? Since he's had experiences with low ballers, and probably people asking for freebies.

Daddy Daughter Days: Anyone Smell Burnt Rice?

 I'm doing better today, still got a bit of a cough and my body isn't so weak and achy to the point where I can't work on ANYTHING. Dad caught my cold yesterday, but still managed to make us all some Rice Krispie Treats. Still waitng for my sense of taste to come back, but I still enjoy that nice crunch from the refrigerator. 

If my health improves, I'll start listing some items that I think will move quickly starting either tonight or tomorrow depending on the status of my current health. 

Daddy Daughter Days: It Was a Jinx!

 I've come down with a cold as of late last night. I jokingly said to my dad that this could've been because I watched "Night of the Living Ill" the night before. 

I WAS gonna list some new items today, but mother suggests I hold off until I'm feeling better. 

I'm just about finished with my speaker cabinet restoration. The last major step was to re-cover the side panel.

Daddy Daughter Days: A Clever Halloween Special

 I was busy tidying my filming desk in the basement last night because I needed something to do for a change. So I put on some background noise to help make the job more fun. I ultimately settled on Camp Camp's "Night of the Living Ill" which was their Halloween special. The special itself was really funny and the pacing was great for the show only being on the air for a year at the time. 

Desk was cleaned and rearranged in no time by the time the episode wrapped up. Maybe we could binge the show tonight after dinner? Sure, if the power isn't flickering like it was last night!

Max made it to the corkboard in our kitchen last night.

My second attempt at drawing him was just THAT good apparently.

 Person: *Messages about a plush set and asks if its still available*

Me: Yes it's still available. Are you interested?

Person: I think I live too far.

Me: *Checks their profile only to see they live in New Jersey* 

It was probably just a kid wanting to order these plushies. I'll be listing a bunch of new stuff over the weekend like video games and more plushies. By the way, dad. Which episode of Camp Camp did you leave off on last night? Um, the one where the kids swear a lot? Maybe episode three? I'm gonna start watching season 1 and I wanna leave off on the same episode so we can watch it on Tuesday during our "Father Daughter Drawing Session."

My black marker is practically dried out now.

ALSO: Mom has specified that she wants Mighty Taco for dinner. When you get home, be sure to take her order. I already have half a sub and some fries from Gandys saved for my meal.

Daddy Daughter Days: So Close, But Yet So Very Far

 I was SO CLOSE to making a sale yesterday, but like my self esteem, it was shattered at the last minute.

So there was a woman who wanted to buy a plush set off me for her son, problem was she didn't have a vehicle to drive to our house herself. So she told us she had a friend who was willing to pick them up for her. We kept in touch and gave her some of the details and her friend said she wanted to meet at the Dave and Busters. I was skeptical at first since I usually stick to porch pick up. Waited until dad got home to discuss the current situation. We told the lady that we were ready to set up a time and asked where at Dave and Busters would her friend like to meet? This so called "friend" ghosted all of us so the deal fell through. The lady who wanted the plushies said she was sorry things fell through and she was glad her son didn't know about the order. 

Also... Sounds like someone wants that Build a Bear lot. Maybe I'll get a sale on Friday?

 The month is halfway over! I need to finish this video NOW! 

Thank God scene 2 is almost over! 

Also, can we stop at Family Dollar after dinner tonight? My earbuds pooped out. Plus it'll give us a chance to check out the new location that opened recently. 

There should be some ear buds in a plastic bag on that short shelf next to the stairs. "Should be," that is!

UPDATE: Ugh... Someone was interested in the Teletubbies plushies, and their friend was willing to pick them up for her. But they wanna meet and the Dave and Busters at the mall because they're "not comfortable" doing porch pickup. What should we do? Maybe we could meet at the Tim Horton's parking lot like you've done with various film reel purchases?

 I have some video games I plan on listing next week. Mostly switch titles, but also a few DS\3DS games I barely\never played. Price will vary on the title, but games usually sell quick, so  more money for me.

Week is gonna be busy, busy, busy. Mom and I will be going to Savers on Wednesday after the dentist, though. 

Maybe I'll find some Honey Girls! I'm missing the second release for Viv. Though, as you know, I'll take anybody regardless of release.

 Mother says the weather is supposed to be fine tomorrow. So the flea market is still a go.

Daddy Daughter Days: Last Day!

 I was really hoping today would be my last day helping at VBS this week. But alas.... Yesterday was in fact, my last day. 

First off, it was one of those nights where me and my mom's group (pre-k) were a little TOO rowdy, which was overwhelming for me. ...We'll get to that in a minute. I think the game we were playing last night was a little too overstimulating for them. It even got to the point where they were throwing squirt guns and beach balls at the outside walls of the church when the kids were asked to put them away. But they managed to calm down during Bible study\snack. 

Secondly, and I know to a lot of people this may sound petty and me being "unreasonable." But I wasn't allowed to game on the job. This was because the youth pastor thought I would be "setting a bad example." And despite what you may think, I WAS keeping an eye on the kids the night before. Gaming is just a grounding technique for me to prevent getting overstimulated with my autism. Mom told me she'll "have a word" with this pastor. I do see the pastor's point in not wanting the kids to be distracted by my 3DS, I get that. The other classes, even the older kids who usually own handheld gaming consoles by this point, didn't even bat an eye. 

Mom told me I don't have to attend the final night (today) if I don't want to since she noticed I was a bit offended by the events of last night. So...I won't be attending. No hate towards anyone involved. But my absence from the VBS will give me a LOT of time to work on projects, and dishes with dad.

Daddy Daughter Days: The Evening Report

 Business is rather quiet right now in terms of sales. Luckily I'll be getting a little extra money from mother for helping with VBS this week for me and dad's little trip to a flea market we haven't been to since before the pandemic. Let's hope the weather is nice enough.

Quick note to anybody planning snacks for VBS: Find a good substitute for blue frosting if you wanna make teddy grams walking on water. Pre-K kids take two bites of that stuff and they're off the walls. We learned the hard way.... 

Blue frosting sounds gross, anyway. 

Daddy Daughter Days: A Dilemma

 Someone JUST messaged me on Marketplace about the Build A Bear lot. Problem is I'm gonna be busy for the next 3 days. Your suggestion, dad? 

Can they wait until Friday or come during the day Tues - Wed?

Daddy Daughter Days: Another Day, Another Lot

 I messaged someone about a Barbie lot last night. It consists of a dollhouse and some dolls and furniture to go along with it. Whole thing is $20. What would be a good time for us to go pick it up? I have Kristin coming over today (at least I hope so) at whatever time is suitable. Maybe we could pick it up after dinner?

Aw, nuts! I guess that 2% milk is up for grabs, now...

Daddy Daughter Days: Bundled Up

 Well. Someone messaged me last night about the Pokemon lot. But THIS time, it totally made up for yesterday's 3 for $15 deal. So this guy messages me asking if the price for the lot is flexible. I'm a bit hesitant at first since one of my dad's friends has experienced this all too often. I respond that it depends on how much he was offering. He said $45, I said $50 and we agreed. 

So I took the Pokemon to my "adoption pending" area upstairs, come back down and see another message from this guy asking if he could do a bundle with a bunch of other listings I had. I said that if he wanted all of those with the Pokemon, he'd be back at $75. He agrees and we'll schedule to meet up at 3:00. 

Let's see if he keeps to his word. If not, I'm out $75....

Daddy Daughter Days: Scams R Us

I've had people ghost me, others try to weasel their way into wanting me to deliver items via mail. But THIS time, I finally had my first low baller. 

Me: *gets a message on Marketplace concerning a Pokemon lot I have for sale*

S: Hello ____, I am interested in buying 3 of your Pokemon for $15.

I kindly told them that I would not be separating the plushies and thanked them for their continued interest. 

Someone is supposed to come by soon to pick up a Barbie doll lot. Will they be a no-show like the last 3 customers? (Minus the guy who bought the Hazbin plushies). 

Daddy Daughter Days: A List Of Meaningless Stuff

 Things that happened yesterday:

Ordered Walter and Perry

First customer cancelled last minute

Second customer was a no-show but wants to come by today

Found a yard sale I plan to run over to before class (it's only a mere 8 minutes away from the house).

I've got plenty of other customers who want these Teletubbies. So I'll see who's still ACTIVELY interested. 

Speaking of Teletubbies....

UPDATE: Sounds like Charlie and Angel Dust are being picked up soon!

Now to see which of the seemingly hundreds of customers will pick up the Tubbies. 

Mother gave us directions to that yard sale tomorrow. We also have someone coming by at 3:15 to pick up the Teletubbies. 

Congrats! Make sure to take down the ads once the merchandise has been sold. <wink>

Daddy Daughter Days: Adoption Pending

 I've got 2 (hopefully) 3 plushies ready to be picked up spanning from late this afternoon into early this evening. Will be sorting through more stuff after they're gone so I can list some new products. 

Update on dad's "summer project" of 2023. 

Now to get back to work.

Bad news: guy who was gonna come by at 3:15 cancelled last minute because his wife found "cleaner" plushies in their basement. But there was someone else who was interested, so I'll see if they still want the lot. Hopefully the Teletubbies will have better luck this evening.

 I'm doing a storytime video for my YouTube channel this month. The topic in question will be about me going to my FIRST CONCERT. And since I got to share those moments with my dad, I want HIM to be in the video too. 

We'll start going over the script tonight or tomorrow.
