Boy were they good though. Messy, but good.
Kudos to my aunt for capturing my genuine shock before I dove in.
The escapades of an autistic daughter and her dad. Follow along to see what oddball posts will surface from the depths of the basement. In the words of Courtney Campbell, "Come on in and spend some time with us!"

Our first snow of the season has finally arrived. My aunt is supposed to be flying in today and will be staying until Tuesday. Right now I'm still figuring things out with something dad helped me out with last night (I've got the basics down right now and have been adding some of my online friends).
Don't know the dinner plans right now. Will keep you posted, dad.
Well first off, I'm no longer considered a "teen." Because of that, there's another milestone that I've been waiting a long time to accomplish. Just reminding SOMEBODY here to help me with it later. Remember dad? We had a deal?
Deal executed. Happy Birthday!
Also, I found THIS on marketplace today. Sounds like the whole Rick and Morty sauce situation ALL OVER AGAIN....
Found two Calico Critters in a go-bag at Goodwill. One of them was really beaten up and looked like it had been teethed on by somebody's pet. So I took some scrap fabric and nail polish and put together an "outfit" for him (if you can call it that.)
I checked their height by comparing them to my other critters and both are the size of an adult critter. So they're likely parents. Thinkin about making the kangaroo a sidekick of sorts to another critter I'm getting my hands on soon. Bruce Husky.
I will not rest until the husky family is complete.
Long workday combined with an intense shutdown prompted us going to Dairy Queen. Missed out on a ton of work because of said shutdown, but one chicken finger basket and heath brownie cupfection later, I'm SOMEWHAT better. Albeit a bit mentally drained. So I cheered myself up with Camp Camp (specifically the episode "Gwen Gets A Job" because that's one of my comfort episodes next to Party Pooper) and Kevin Spencer.
So tomorrow I'm gonna shop till I DROP! Followed by our new favorite Greek restaurant that dad will be trying for the first time. That means I can have my cannoli french toast again.
Anyways now I'm gonna contemplate making a video essay on a bit of a pet peeve I have with the Camp Camp fandom.
I was gonna type a brief musing about asking my dad the all important question of "Is the concertina a real instrument?" Yesterday. But just as I was getting ready to type, I discovered that my dad's friend left his half full beer bottle inside Brittany's room...
And since today is Thanksgiving, might I redirect you to me and my dad's Thanksgiving special we made back in the traumatic days of 2020!
This new Scott Pilgrim series is taking so many weird turns compared to the movie, but I like it! And I've gotta say episode 3 is probably the best one so far (no I'm not just saying that because of how much screen time Kim got).
Anyways, gonna get back to work while I have some Camp Camp playing in the background. See you tonight for-
Gotta buckle down and get to work today. I already finished 2 scenes and have 3+ left to make.
My job gave us a free turkey for Thanksgiving. And my original plan was I was gonna give it to a friend of mine because his family has been dealing with some financial problems and Thanksgiving turkeys are NOT CHEAP (plus we already had a turkey stored at my grandma's house because we didn't have any room in the freezer at our place).
So we went to my grandma's house to pick up the original turkey, only to find out my mom had texted her saying my friend's mom had texted saying they actually DON'T need a turkey. So now we're stuck with two and plan on giving the original one to a neighbor or something...
Meanwhile: A CALICO CRITTERS MOVIE???????
"Scott Pilgrim Takes Off" premiered yesterday and we finally got around to watching the first episode this morning. My first thoughts are, well... Obviously, I'm really pleased with how the final product turned out. Though it would have been pretty cool to see more side gags from the movie adapted into the anime (like the Pac-Man joke which was replaced with Sonic, Crash and the Boys having been wiped out of the Rockit scene, and dad's favorite Scott Pilgrim song "Garbage Truck" not being brought back). Otherwise I like the anime so far! Will try to tune into episode 2 tomorrow since we've still got TONS of Kevin Spencer to go through...
Man, it seems like we've submerged ourselves into a Canadian content rabbit hole. First there was Crash Canyon, now we're currently on Kevin Spencer, and today we have the SCOTT PILGRIM ANIME!!!
A blast from the past! New bed for Muack. Will make some room for it eventually. Thought it would be a nice addition to the "blast from the past" discussion. |
Season 1 Episode 8 of Kevin Spencer, titled "The New Mr. Franklin." Is probably the BEST episode so far! This episode got so many laughs out of us compared to Crash Canyon and I told dad we should re-watch it next month during Christmas time (because there's a Christmas flashback\story in the episode).
Wonder what will happen in episode 9...?
Sounds like the Teletubbies are finally getting a new home. Mom is sad to see them go. But at least I'll be getting $10 out of it! :D Runny waaaayyyy!
Customer is coming by at 5:00.
Thinking of 11/17/23 |
Just got home and was gonna listen to some music while texting friends, but my earbuds broke. Do you think we could stop at the FD to get me a new pair this evening? I've got money.
We can do that! Great!
Meanwhile, Muack has made herself RIGHT at home...
Fenton is supposed to be delivered any time now. Who knows? Maybe this will motivate me to get back into the fandom.
Looks like Fenton arrived at the distribution center for our neck of the woods last night. He should be here right on ti- I mean, right quick. Hopefully Muack will also be here on the same day as well.
It also appears that someone on marketplace messaged me about some plushies again. I've already got someone coming by tomorrow afternoon to pick up some Paw Patrol plushies, if they show up, I should get about $12.
Tonight, we go back to Canada and see our favorite chain smoking, alcoholic, sociopath.
I guess Fenton AND Muack are arriving on the same day apparently. Fenton is currently in transit and will be arriving on the 13th. (Hey, at least it's not on a Friday...)
Here's one of those earlier Kevin Spencer shorts before it got picked up as its own show.
I didn't sleep too good last night for unknown reasons. I fell asleep at one point and woke up at 8 something. But despite my lack of sleep, I have the energy to continue plugging away at my work.
Also, Fenton is supposed to get here on Monday. All birthday and Christmas savings will go towards Clarice. And while SHE'S being made, I'll be setting my allowances aside for my first (and the most expensive) non-Home Movies character yet.
Fenton is being shipped out today
Muack was ordered this morning
WHAT'S NEXT?! (I'm not complainin')
Anyways, now that Fenton is on his way, it's about time we start saving for the cherry on top.
And yes, I genuinely have been wanting to order Clarice as a plushie, I'm not just doing this out of obligation. Her ref sheet was completed months ago and I'll order her once I've got the $150 cash in hand.
Speaking of rock stars...
Got a customer who's interested in my Disney loungefly bag. Last night they asked what material it was made out of and I just heard back saying they wouldn't wanna pay what I originally put it for sale as (I was asking like $40). And I told them to make me an offer (because honestly, I just want the thing outta here). Still waiting on a response.
Offer made - check fb!
Luckily I only have ONE errand to run today compared to yesterday. Tomorrow though. I'll be ordering Muack.
Going to visit a relative today. Luckily this visit won't be as hectic as last time... That one caused sensory overload and a car ride so tense you could cut the feeling with a knife. Unlike yesterday, no orders have come in *YET* but mom says I'll probably get more with the holiday season coming up.
By the way, I need to email my birthday list to some family members later. Do you think you can help me with that tonight dad? You and mom are in charge of the most important gift: I put it at the top of the list. I must see this list to refresh my memory.
I'll be getting another Home Movies cake for my next birthday. Now...Who should be the face of my cake this year dad? (Don't. Say. Mr. Delicious.) Not Kevin Spencer?!?
I guess this Littlest Pet Shop house I'm selling is gonna be like the Teletubbies (which haven't sold yet) all over again! Fingers crossed I get a bite! If all goes well, I'll be getting $25.
Sounds like we're possibly doing a pickup today. Hope all goes well.
UPDATE: They're buying THIS and the Calico Critters stuff for $40. CHA-CHING!
UPDATE OF AN UPDATE: Customer arrived on time and picked up the items. Turns out she was doing a little Christmas shopping today and her entire truck was FULL of toys! Guess I'll be buying that Muack plush on Thursday after all!
The dress still fits me somewhat, I'm gonna get one more use out of it for the Ren and Stimpy movie my friends and I are filming.
Dad bought shoes, I bought a Max lanyard.
Anyways, I'll be off to a party in a few hours. In the meantime, I'll start sorting out Calico Village. I'm also selling two of my houses out of preference for certain models.
Since there's no turnaround sheet for some of the side characters (at least... None that have been shared publicly), we'll take things into our own hands. We'll have to find some side & back views from the videos!
This weekend's drawing session will be focused on Harrison!
Here's last night's progress of me rearranging my filming station.
Uh-Oh! |
Do you like listen to top 40 pop songs like I do? You do?! Well imagine our delight when you turn on that dial and CHRISTMAS MUSIC starts playing when you wanted to listen to your favorite artists. Yeah. I'm peeved too...
I was kind of hoping the station change would've meant they'd NOT do this. Some "traditions" need to die.
Seriously, why do people find it SO important to play Christmas music a MONTH EARLY! It's NOVEMBER! We're supposed to worry about preparing Thanksgiving dinner and watching my favorite Peanuts special! Not listening to Mariah Carey! (Though, admittedly I do enjoy "All I Want For Christmas Is You.")
Maybe we could write our OWN Thanksgiving special!
Oh who are we kidding... David would probably be in on the "Christmas in November" festivities while Gwen is trying to smash the radio with a hammer.
Where we live, we've got a little chain called "Mighty Taco." And let me tell ya, my parents always treated it as the to die ...
