Daddy Daughter Days: Wake Me Up When November Ends

Well this month sure went by quick. How is it that as you get older, time seems to go by faster. One minute it's January and you're make your New Year's resolutions that you never follow through on and the next minute, it's almost the end of the year and you think about the time your dad told you about how he slept through Christmas as a kid one year.

I'm sure 2023 will be just as good as this one was.

Unrelated, but there was talk about possibly trying that Dibella's Subs this weekend...

There was? Maybe I slept through that, too?

Daddy Daughter Days: Positive Reception!

Home Movies REVAMPED episode 8 is gaining LOTS of positive reception within the fandom. Even someone on the HM subreddit made a post reminding fans that it was out! Right now, my new animator friend is taking a short break due to saving up for a laptop\drawing tablet. We're still writing episodes together, it's just gonna take a bit before episode 9 releases. There's tons more to come, so sit tight!

Also, my dad and I are working on a little side project for our channel! We're still getting the basics established, things like characters, storyline, etc. We can discuss all of this tonight!

And how about I end this post on a VERY positive note!

Daddy Daughter Days: In The Words of Emo Phillips

"You're another year older... Let's see how you blame THAT on the Jews."

Taken from this video (as well as the concert we went to back in July).

Now to start my week of being wined and dined!

Daddy Daughter Days: DLCS and Doughnuts!

Dad and I went off to pantry just as the clock struck noon. We packed up some orders for a while, and just as we were about to get to packing some frozen items, the coordinator and her son enter with a box of Paula's Doughnuts whilst singing "happy birthday" to me!

This local chain is a large step up from places like Tim Horton's. Cuz these donuts are huge and VERY messy. In fact, I got a large creme stain on my shirt that I easily washed off with some water and a washcloth. Aside from my sweet surprise, I had a great day of work! And one of the workers is treating me to the Mario Kart 8 Booster Pass!

Now if I recall correctly, I've got a Chinese Buffet to go to! See you tomorrow!

SPOILER: We ended up having Mexican, instead. Thank goodness for plan B!

Daddy Daughter Days: Home Sweet Bowl.

I asked my friend if she would be making it to tonight's meetup. And if her mom would be taking her so my mom could have an excuse to take me. My friend got back to me this morning saying her dad would be taking her. So I guess that means my dad will be taking me as well.

I would have let mom take me if she had somebody to talk to. Oh well.

Daddy Daughter Days: Back To Our Roots

Got a fur-meet this Saturday at our old bowling alley! Turns out they'll still occasionally meet up at this particular place, but will mostly meet up at the one around the corner from our house.

As much as I love the convenience, the noise from the one around the corner from our house can get VERY grading. So it's good to know I'll be going back to a larger, not so noisy bowling alley.

Daddy Daughter Days: A New Era of Music

I was talking with my dad about some of the programs I'm using to create music. Am currently trying out BandLab and have had some decent success! I told dad that he should try it out on his IPad later and that signing up is very easy (you just use an email or whatever).

I'm gonna stick to being solo though.

Daddy Daughter Days: Touching Snow

My recovery has gotten to the point where I can finally touch grass (or snow, rather). I'm gonna be helping package Thanksgiving dinners at our church later this evening (followed by pizza methinks).

Also, enjoy this random Mitch I came up with on the spot. Am very proud of it.

Daddy Daughter Days: Making Room

So I've been seeing a lot TikToks about the newest Pokemon games (Scarlet and Violet). And initially, I was gonna skip the Pokemon stuff this year since I have no room left in my game case (been meaning to get a new one for a while now). So I decided to go through games I haven't thought about in AGES and will be selling them to "The Heart of the Game," a local video game store not too far from our house.

I visited this store a few months ago and got $25 out of selling them 2 games, also wound up with a "Morel Orel" DVD. Now I've got 4 that I'm putting together to sell. Considering that 3 of the 4 games are mainline (Pokemon + Pikmin), I'll probably get a lot out of my small collection. That way I'll be able to get Pokemon Scarlet for my gaming library.

You'll be mine soon, Sprigatito!!!

Something I've also noticed is that Sprigatito will be my first ever grass type starter since all of my staters have always been fire type for some reason! Good to have a little change of pace, no?

Daddy Daughter Days: Back To Work!

I caught a small cold yesterday. It's nothing major, just the same old stuffy nose and sore throat. I still have the same energy levels I always do, so this won't be much of a problem.

While I'm busy doing my own thing, here's some footage of Mitch writing a joke. (This was taken from an interview with Lynn Shawcroft)

Daddy Daughter Days: Talk About a "Callback"

Mom and I were discussing the idea of *POSSIBLY* going to Cracker Barrel with my aunt and grandma in a few weeks. From our experience, every time we go to that place, IS MOBBED! Mobbed to the point where they have to do that role call system. (Dad probably knows where I'm going with this, so I'll let Mitch better explain it).

"WHO CAN EAT AT A TIME LIKE THIS?!"

Perfect fit!

Daddy Daughter Days: Something I've Never Done Before.

One of my online friends suggested we give names for the Home Movies REVAMPED episodes. Now I already had 3 names in mind. Episode 1 was gonna be called "Digital, Baby. DIGITAL!" Episode 2 was "Bend It (Like McGuirk)" and the recently finished episode 9 (Finished as in writing the script) is called "Seizure Salad." So right now, we're gonna think of names from episodes 3-8.

Here's some BRUTAL content for you guys to enjoy on the side.

There's a Murderface one that's in the making as well!

Deatklok on Sesame Street? I am here for it!

Daddy Daughter Days: Another Day, Another Cashgrab

Last night, I was casually browsing through Instagram before rewriting a script with a friend. Low and behold, I find THIS!

Lynn Shawcroft shared this to her Instagram story last night debunking this as "bullshit" (her words, not mine). I curiously checked the post to see what the comments said, and a lot of fans are giving VERY heavy backlash on this post.

I will say this. Nobody can ever copy Mitch's writing.

A course on how to copy his "unusual persona?" It might make for an interesting YouTube "TeD Talk" but $49?!? Nah. It would probably as authentic as this A.I. portrait:

Close enough, random AI!

Also, I can now say with confidence that I've watched one of Saberspark's bargain bin movies.
Was playing at my doctor's office this afternoon. Mom and I were cringing the entire time.

Daddy Daughter Days: Simmusings II

Aside from adding an extra three letters to my name on almost all social platforms, here's today's image dump from my Sims game.

First off, my Sims got married. Before anyone asks, no I do NOT know why they decided to kiss in a public bathroom. Ceremony was small and casual.

Then the wife (Krista) had a baby. Unfortunately, I was having some seriously glitching when the baby reached toddlerhood. So what I did was a simply made the toddler age up to a child. Rest is history. Sadly....Things would go off to a tragic start after this...

Garret (husband, father, and comedian) died one early morning. Krista tried to plead for the reaper to let him stay for just a little longer, but that failed....Grieving process was two days...

Luckily, he still visits his widow and daughter very regularly.

As of now, Rosalie (daughter) is a teen and Krista will son be aging up to elderhood. One can only hope for what the next generation will be.

Daddy Daughter Days: Simmusings

While I would make a Mary Kay Bergman day post, I just thought it'd be fun to share some photos I've taken in "The Sims 4" so far.

Not off to a good start with the new neighbors....

Don't worry. The stove and countertop were replaced. More to come later!!!

Romance is in the air....

Also these aren't really "OCS" of any kind, I just use whatever the generator gives me sometimes.

Daddy Daughter Days: Some Quality *Writing* Time

Already finished my holiday wishlist, found out Lynn Shawcroft is on Insta and posts a lot of Hedberg related content from time to time (including various photos of the times where Mitch was traveling to different shows). But today, I'm focused on writing an audio fiction that I PROBABLY would have made when I was 12....

Oh yeah...I also gotta work on submitting an HD version of my scene for "Smiling Friends Reanimated."

And tonight I'm gonna learn how to use that treadmill we got a while back. I've got a doctor's appointment next week and I need a valid reason to tell her I'm actually working on myself for a change.

Daddy Daughter Days: Dadklok

Managed to get dad to tune into Metalocalypse with me last night. So far the first tape seems to have season 1 episodes. Our session stopped after the episode titled "Performance Klok." I VIVIDLY remembered a few elements from this episode, specifically the whole therapy plot and the "banana sticker" gag.

More episodes tonight, folks!

Care to tell the audience what you thought of the show, dad?

The show is pretty funny. An acquired taste, to be sure! My only beef is that I have trouble following the dialog. Everyone is growling and barking, not to mention the wacky accents. Am looking forward to more episodes!

Oh, did someone say, "Paula Poundstone?"

Daddy Daughter Days: Excitement Awaits!

Mom and I are gonna be going to Hobby Lobby to look for Christmas decorations since everybody just LOVES celebrating Christmas a MONTH EARLY!!!! We aren't those kind of people though. We're just looking at stuff to use next month.

On an unrelated note, some VHS tapes I ordered came in yesterday!

From what I've seen so far, tape 1 seems to have season 1 of Metalocalypse (including bumpers). I watched episodes 1-3 last  night and they were just as hilarious as I remembered. Hoping to give dad a taste of another great creation by Brendon Small.

Discussion over, back to Sims.

Btw, dad. Sims can make chili!!!

Daddy Daughter Days: Short Lived

So I just got into playing "The Sims 4" again for the first time in like... 2 YEARS! I made a new household, got some relationships going, and already got two promotions at my Sim's workplace!

This photo WAS taken by me!

This would unfortunately be a short lived thing. As at one point during my late night session, the game CRASHED and practically deleted itself from the computer. When I tried to boot it up from my Origin account, it said there was missing media and advised me to download "The Sims 4: Legacy Edition." This is a free version of The Sims 4 that can be used on older devices that no longer support the original.

So a 2 year old Windows 10 is considered "old" now? I guess dad and I have been dealing with our own struggles this week.

A VERY old photo from two years ago....I was cringe....

Looks like Jackie spent a little too much time down at the pub.

Daddy Daughter Days: The Afterparty

Usually I'd talk about how class went today, but owing to our recent trip to see Paula Poundstone, I'd figure it would be best to talk about how the show went.

Dad and I left around 5:30pm before it got dark. Was about an hour ish drive to the venue. I mostly listened to my Home Movies soundtrack while filming some goofy plush videos in the passenger's seat. Sadly, we would run into some difficulties along the way.

First, we pulled into a parking lot in front of the venue. We went oner to a booth where we were supposed to pay for our parking spot. Sadly, the booth was closed and all we saw was a sign saying something along the lines of "Please scan the QR code or contact *insert phone number here*)

Care to tell the folks how the show went, dad?

Daddy Daughter Days: Lost In Rochester

First off, we don't leave until later in the evening. Since mom picked up an extra shift, I'm gonna write this as I would a weekend post!

(Morning)

Stumbled out of bed just as mom left, I wound up recording some PBS Kids shows on my VHS tape while having breakfast with dad as we tuned in to one of the greatest sitcoms of all time!

Dad has been binging The Office as of late, so I thought I'd join him on such a morning like this!

Earlier that morning)

M: *Walks into dad's room)

C: So I tried switching my phone out with my earbuds last night. When I woke up, the thing was HOT! So I let it cool down and now it won't turn on!

M: So you basically fried your phone?

NOTE: My dad just owns a cheap flip phone, so it wasn't like we lost a large amount of money.

But we were hoping to use his phone to take pictures at the concert since his phone has a camera. So now we're gonna try and get ANOTHER cheap phone once mom returns home from work.

Daddy Daughter Days: The Final Days

48 hours until the concert.... We have the directions to the venue, dad told me that this place is (luckily) near impossible for you to get a "bad seat" to view the show, so it's safe to say we're set here!

Click THIS LINK to get a 360 degree view of the performance hall!

I also managed to finish scene 1 of my current Home Movies project. My best friend actually animated one sequence in the next act which I'm gonna tease HERE!

NOBODY LISTENS TO POSSUM PETERSON!!!!

Time to get cracking on the next couple of acts in the makeshift sweat shop!

Daddy Daughter Days: Predictions

According to my tracking number, Mitch is set to be OUT FOR DELIVERY TODAY!!!!

And he did NOT make a temporary pit stop in Puerto Rico...

Second prediction: The radio stations will start blasting Mariah Carey and other Christmas showtunes today.

Here's my personal favorite Christmas song

Uhhh...Have we forgotten that Thanksgiving exists????

Somebody got EXTRA spoiled last night.

Stay tuned for the unveiling of my latest creation! And remember, it's not just a plush...It's a tribute.
Another early morning delivery!

Daddy Daughter Days: "The Story of GWEEN"

In 2021, I found out about a little show called "Camp Camp." The show was created by the recently defunct "Rooster Teeth&quo...
