Daddy Daughter Days: Cut and Print!

Decided to work on some script writing for my Home Movies fan series. Me and my online friends have been working on the season finale as well as other episodes. The finale is gonna have a lot of drama and intensity regarding Jimmy Monet in terms of giving him a proper background that he never had in the original series (with the help of my best friend of course since we're both fans of said character) and so much more! With a few "Shannon looks like a chicken" jokes thrown in....

Look at this image and maybe you'll get it. Hehehe, beak boy.

So for today's routine, I'll be doing some shopping this afternoon with my mom and grandma. Nothing really exciting, just shopping for groceries. After that, we'll head back later for dinner (Again, talk of Chinese food) and that's really about it.

In other news, turns out I have my LGBT support group on Thursday. I DID NOT KNOW UNTIL JUST LAST NIGHT! So I've been a bit wacked. Thus ending our long August newsletter.

Now let's see what next month brings

Daughter Days: SWEET VICTORY

After about a week and a half (it think) it has been confirmed as of early this morning that Melissa is OUT FOR DELIVERY and should be here TODAY! Or maybe tomorrow but we're pretty sure its today.

Got Brendon doin a lil victory dance in the background as I'm typing this.

But thankfully, today is gonna be one of those "stay at home" days with my mom, we're both rung out from getting out of the house and let's just face it, I want NOTHING to do with the horrible weather that reminded me of summer in the Carolinas. My dad has a dentist appointment today to have a look at his chipped tooth from the "Special K" incident. (Might wanna call Doctor Crentist.) On Tuesday me, mom, and my grandma are going shopping once again. And possibly dinner too (there was talk of Chinese food) to quote my dad, we shall see. Wednesday is my appointment with my counselor to help with my mental state which has been garbage last week because of stuff I won't be sharing here. Friday is when my mom has a over the phone consultation with a doctor for an evaluation for me. Decently light week over all!

In other news, I watched Disney's "Up" last night in honor of Ed Asner's recent passing yesterday. I wasn't a huge fan when it came out since I was 6 at that time and didn't really understand the deep emotions of grief, death, and greed. I now have a newfound love for the movie and will be probably binge talking about it with my best friend since he's a HUGE fan of the movie. Next movie for my cinema? Disney's "Brave"

(I will post a photo of Melissa if she arrives in the mail today)

Early evening update! Here's our darling Melissa

She did turn out a bit derpy with the eyes but overall she looks great! Aside from the eyes, the one thing I would change is the fact she's got a bad case of floppy neck syndrome. Its ok though, I still love her unconditionally as well as my other Home Movies stuffies. Here's a sneak peek of who's next.

HIDE YOUR CANDY, CRAIG!

Daddy Daughter Days: Barely Busy Sunday

Not too much to do today. Dad and I are running to Target later for a brief errand. Then its off to whichever fast food related place we're going to. I feel like havin some pizza maybe. Not sure...

Ah such fond memories of going to the Target in my hometown....

The rundown is my dad needs a new staple gun for a project he's working on, simple right? Well one more problem, the staples we have don't fit the staple gun we wanted from Target. So why not kill two birds with one stone and get both! But where do we get the money? Easy! My dad found out he's got a $25 gift card that he's had since Christmas. So it looks like things may work out in the end.... and with that, we will celebrate with a nice pizza for dinner. (If we have the money)

Small update: Me and my little friend group recently found out that Ed Asner had passed away at the ripe old age of 91. We mostly knew him as Carl Fredrickson from the Disney movie "Up" from 2009. He will be dearly missed by friends and fans alike.

In other news, in regards to my latest Home Movies project, the animation is going smoothly. I have my dad doing some work on Walter and Perry. Looks like this project in and of itself is gonna be HUGE!

Daddy Daughter Days: How I've Missed You!

Today has been very VERY bittersweet. Let's get the bitter parts out of the way first.

The Poundstone concert: I finally got enough money for me and my dad's tickets. But of course, like every other thing I want to accomplish, there is a BIG BUMP in the road.... Of course, masks and vaccines are required, BUT GET THIS, you have to wait 2 weeks after your second shot. Now forgive me for sounding like a "Karen" but I am a bit annoyed with this as by that time, It won't even be 3 days after my 2nd shot. But don't worry, my dad and I will find a way.... I may be stubborn but I don't give up easily.

The Slowboat to Home...: Checked on Melissa today to see where she is now. STILL IN FRICKIN TRANSIT "Arriving Late" This seems to be a running theme with any time I've ordered from Budsies. I won't blame it directly on them since it isn't their fault, its mostly the location of their HQ that's at fault, Budsies is located in Florida, where COVID has invaded and claimed the most victims thanks to its horrible governor. So its not Budsies at fault, more so the post office\the location. So I'll still be a regular to the plush making webstie.

That's all I remember off the top of my head.... now let's get to the parts I DID look forward too!

My mom and I went to a yard sale that her and my dad's church were hosting, I don't claim the church as my own cuz I'm not an official member and the fact that I don't believe in God. I've missed shopping at thrift shops and yard sales so it was nice to get a breath of that fresh air.... I wound up getting some cartoons for my cinema and a few toys.... along with the soundtrack from "Grease" (AKA one of my dad's MANY definition's of hell.) I have listened to tracks 1-10 I think.... and all the songs are actually quite good! Well except for track 7.... GOD WAS THAT AWFUL! But after listening to songs like "Greased Lightning" and "Hopelessly Devoted to You" I can DEFINITELY see where Home Movies' "Bye Bye Greasy" had some of its songs based off of, like Alone in a Leather for example, its definitely based off of "hopelessly Devoted to You" to an extent. Maybe that's just me, idk.... and MCGuirk's infamous "I'll Race" song is based off of "Greased Lightning."

"I'll Race!"

"Alone in a Leather"
(I thought I had a picture of Shannon on top of MCGuirk's car! Oh well...)

Daddy Daughter Days: Well That Sucks...

Checked the shipping on Melissa. As of midnight, it says that she will be ARRIVING LATE! HOW!?!? Even though I'm a little bit disappointed, I know she'll be here soon.

Waiting is a B*tch.....

Gonna spend the day watching some Home Movies with Brendon, Duane, and Shannon and probably keep a watch in case she DOES in fact get here. I mean, ya never know how the post office can be sometimes, right?

In other news, September 5th is gonna mark 1 full year since this lil guy showed up at my doorstep

Since then, I've been saving up for an army of Home Movies plush toys.... Thanks to the "Criminal Element."

WOW! What a week. I 've be SLAMMED at work covering for a missing inspector, so no time to post at lunch (Lunch? What's that?) and completely shot by the time I get home.  AND!!! It was the end-of-the-month crush to ship anything and everything.

At least I get to go in late on Monday, owing to a dentist appointment.  Yeah, it's gotten that bad that I'm looking forward to getting my teeth drilled, folks.

Daddy Daughter Days: The Portable Movie Cinema

I spent most of my day yesterday watching movies on my little DVD player. Those movies being: Bambi 2, Lady and the Tramp 2, and (most of so far) Lady and the Tramp. I can feel my inner Disnerd returning...Sadly the internet lied to me a few years ago when I was looking up Lady and the Tramp 2. It apparently said that the late Mary Kay Bergman (may her soul rest in peace) was in the movie (or at least casted) I checked the end credits yesterday and her name was NOT mentioned. Of course this left me a little bit sad but worst case scenerio was that she was gonna be in the movie, but by the time they were gonna work on it, she had already passed away. Lady and the Tramp 2 came out in 2001, roughly 2 years after her initial passing, Balto 2 came out a year later (which she WAS in, but only for a minor role as "The Fox with No Name") sorry for my rambling. Just found this to be quite interesting....

In other news, Melissa is on her way here! I checked this morning and she's in transit and should "arrive on time"

Daddy Daughter Days: ITS A MIRACLE!

BREAKING NEWS! THERE'S BEEN SOMETHING SO GROUND BREAKING, SO EARTH SHATTERING THAT YOU'D MIGHT AS WELL STOP READING THIS RIGHT NOW! (not really...)

Yeahhhhhh Idc.

So for today, we've really got nothing to do, my dad has YET ANOTHER doctor's appointment after chipping a tooth while eating his "Special K" yesterday morning. Seems like we've got a rather interesting theme going on..... and THEN I have my therapist next Wednesday, until then, I've got my own therapy.... Metalocalypse! Still on season 1 right now and will blitz on through.
ALL HAIL TOKI WARTOOTH!

In other news, we finally got an official date for Melissa's arrival. She should be here on Friday the 27th or possibly earlier. Only time shall tell....

Daddy Daughter Days: Open House or Sell the House?

Been feelin down the past few days. For personal reasons I prefer not to discuss here, but today I'll be using this platform to let my anger out on something that came up this afternoon.

Yknow what really grinds my gears?

So my uncle (from my mother's side of the family) has been pushing my grandma to sell her house and move into a senior apartment for quite some time now, during this time, my parents and grandma agreed that when that time does come, she will move in with us. So my uncle was texting my mom and they were just generally talking. Until the subject about the "senior apartment" came up.....again..... My mom and grandma are both on the phone right now as we speak.....

In other news, I'll be going to an open house for an acting class later tonight. So hopefully that will lighten my spirits today. And talk of possibly going out for Mexican food is in order?????? I'm also planning on seeing the new "Paw Patrol" movie at some point soon, seen a few clips surface on the internet and I'll say the animation is so beautiful and captivating to my teenage eyes. I've always been a fan of computer animation ever since I was 8. So this will surely be something to look forward to as well.

Daddy Daughter Days: Run Down... SO LET'S PLAY SOME ROBLOX!

What do you do when you're run ragged after a long day of work? Well, many things, read a book, draw, watch TV, etc. For me, however, it involves a video game....ROBLOX! I first played the game in 2018 with a good amount of entertainment. I'd mostly play Meep City since it was the least laggy on my at the time Amazon Fire 7 tablet. I called the game quits months later when it would become impossible since the storage on my old tablet was almost full, thankfully the ol thing pooped out just last year, with me getting an Amazon Fire 8 shortly after. About a month after getting my new tablet, I decided to revisit Roblox thanks to that dose of nostalgia. Simple, right? Log into my account from 2 years ago and continue?

WRONG!

As with all accounts like this, I FORGOT THE PASSWORD!!!!! So I did the reasonable thing and created a new one cuz why not start fresh? Since then I've played some of Meep City as well as some wolf related role play games.

Me and my friend will probably play some games too.

Daddy Daughter Days: In The Home Stretch

I'm only $25 away from having more than enough money for me and dad's tickets to see Paula Poundstone! And what else to celebrate by getting the long awaited SUBWAY!!!! My dad and I had a coupon of 2 footlongs for $12.99 so why not pounce on this bright idea. Speaking of "bright ideas" Build a Bear recently announced that they'd be making an ALL NEW MOVIE based off of their now revived toy-line, The Honey Girls.

This was my initial reaction to such amazing news.

The new designs for the characters are definitely super cute and adorable! Right now, Risa the bunny is currently available on the Australian shopping site for Build a Bear.

If this ISN'T cute I dunno what is!

Looks like we have Honey Girls new and old moving into our house of stuffies!

In other news, my mom and I spoke last night and settled on getting Mexican food after our monthly mortgage. Thanks hormones!

Mexican food? I approve! Now, when is the Mexican food movie coming out?

Major friggin update! The Subway turned out to be a wild goose chase from hell. I thought it would be simple just to get 2 sandwiches for what, $12.99? GROW A CLUE, MARIEL! This is likely gonna become a short for me and my dad's channel cuz well, why not? But we went to now 1, not 2, but FOUR FRICKIN SUBWAYS! And now, a quote from my dad. (slightly edited for privacy reasons)

"
We had a coupon for Subway (2 for $12.99) so Mariel and I ran out the store near our house.

Hand-lettered sign on the door said they’d be closed this weekend. Drove over to he WALMART somewhat close to the previous Subway, because they have a Subway inside the store.  NO COUPONS ACCEPTED!

So we drove over to a store on a ways down. Of course THEY WERE CLOSED, too.

We went to shop #4 on the same street near the Mall.  They were open, but didn’t take coupons.  ENOUGH! We paid the extra $2.51 and scrammed home.  It only took 45 minutes.

I’ll get to work on those cleats after dinner…"

Daddy Daughter Days: Its Just That Kind of Saturday!

Woke up feelin motivated to make some content, the past few days I've been really unmotivated cuz of mental stuff. I wound up making some concept art of Walter and Perry from Home Movies for my dad to animate once I've had my fair share of a scene all mapped out. As noted yesterday, dad had to work an extra shift at work today but should be home around noon or so. We'll likely work on projects and this blog once mother has left for work. Until then, I'll be animating Shannon while watching The Weird Al Show because dammit it just feels like that kind of Saturday.

Had a pretty good afternoon! My dad and I pulled out the ol' keyboard from years ago in an attempt for me to make my own music and songs for some of my shows., just brainstorming songs as we speak! Father and I plan on getting Sooubway tomorrow for takeout night, and possibly gonna video call with  friend tonight!

In other news, today is my friend's 14th birthday! I won't mention nya by name for privacy reasons but feel free to wish mew happy birthday in the comments!

Daddy Daughter Days: TGIF! More like.... FRIDAY FROM HELL

Thank GOD its finally Friday!!!! (try saying that a thousand times out loud) its been a slightly chaotic week for the family, mostly involving doctor's appointments and my dads confrontation with Dr. Dipsh*t yesterday. Probably just gonna work on some animation and other stuff. And yes, more clothes shopping.

Update: looks like we're having another chaotic day!!!!! Care to elaborate, father?

I'll try to keep it short.

Turns out a co-worker called in sick yesterday, so I had to cover her area.  Material passes through this station for final inspection before being shipped or going to the stock room.

HOWEVER! I had been scheduled to leave at noon for a doctor appointment.  My supervisor knew this.  I left for the day at lunch time.

I came in Friday to find the shelves over-flowing with untested product.  I went to the boss's office, only to find that the co-worker had called in again.

"I'll be out to give you a hand shortly," Boss Man said.

Flash forward a few hours and he hadn't shown up.  Around 11:00 I found out that he had scrammed out at 10:00!

Flash-forward to 3:00 and I found out the co-worker is going to be out all NEXT week, too.  And probably my "boss" as well.

Oh, and I should mention that this is the last shipping week of the month, so I resolved to go in and work on Saturday. For no overtime pay, because I'm "salaried."

Yikes.  Gonna be a rough week.

Starting the afternoon off with a video chat with some of my online friends where we just type up our own random stuff in scripts for some of my little videos! Mother also gave my father and I about $14 in petty cash so we could either go to Sooubway or Dollar Tree since I wanna stock up on those darn good cheese sticks. There's a location right by one of the malls in the area, never been to this one before but let's see if it has frozen meals, if not, there's always the one by our house! Father and I will possibly check it out Saturday and will return Sunday (if they've got a frozen section) to get our food!

Ended the day off by talking on the phone with my Godmother today and making plans for her visit in 2 months. Downside is dad is working tomorrow until around noon due to some crazy sh*t at the work place.

In other news, MELISSA HAS SHIPPED!!!!! She's probably gonna come here in a few days judging by past Budsies experiences. Except for that one time Shannon wound up in Purerto Rico on his way over here.

Daddy Daughter Days: Did Somebody Say CHEESE FRIES?!

Its Thursday!!!!! Or as we call it "Pizza Day" since we always get takeout at a local pizza joint around the corner from our house. One of the many perks of living in the area we're in is that like... 99% of the eateries here are local mom and pop stops rather than the typical chain place like Burger King or MCDonalds. Sure we still have chain places but locals are always the best! I usually order cheese fries and (insert second item here) when I place my order for pizza day.

My dad will also be coming home from work early due to a checkup with the ENT (make sure to NEVER use Q-Tips, kids) so it'll give us some extra time to work on projects of ours like the "Bulge Burger" short amongst other things.

The ENT was a bust.  My left ear is sore and practically swollen shut.  Dr. Quacky McQuackenhoffer could not care less.  Did I want a hearing test? No. I want my ear to stop hurting. Oh, and if I'm not supposed to use Q-Tips to clean my ears, what SHOULD I use.  My finger? My finger?!?!? THAT'S your professional advice? "Use my finger?"  Screw this guy. I'll go to an urgent care next time.

In other news, I did some window shopping last night to buy clothes for some of my plushies (mostly for my Isabelles and other furry creatures) and I came across these two!

Both look super cute, and judging by the listings on Ebay, decently affordable. found the All About Spots Cat (pictured on right) for $10 and the Kabu Bunny for $15-$20 depending on the condition. both great finds as they will be making their way to my house sometime soon!

Had a pretty dull afternoon. But I'll live as they say. Currently snooping through Ebay some more to find some clothes for my Build a Bears (again) also....it turns out my defective bear, Lisa, has one of those beating heart chips! I only ever had one put in prior to her being bought from the thrift store, and that was an old Spongebob plush I got after my mom had a surgery some time ago. (Feel kinda bad she got sick from the cotton candy scent I gave it though ^^;)

Ending the day off with a video chat with some friends (who's names I'll be keeping private) as well as, you guessed it, EVEN MORE CLOTHES SHOPPING!!!! Btw, I already decided on a name for the Kabu bunny, her name is gonna be Renny. I've always liked that name plus she looks like a Renny to me. What the heck am I right?

Daddy Daughter Days: Wait It's WEDNESDAY?!

I could have sworn yesterday was Monday! Oh well... Today mother and I are gonna take the day off and just relax. Plus I've got my 5 new stuffies to keep me company. I'm currently working on a music video portion of one of my projects with my dad later adding some special effects and final touches afterwards. So gonna be a pretty quiet day for us! This week, I should have $70 saved up for the Paula Poundstone concert, my dad and I will be making it our mission this weekend to buy a box of strawberry pop tarts in hopes to get it signed. It HAS to be name brand though, not some cheapo dollar tree brand (which we'll be heading back to in a few weeks) but that's a story for another day.

In other news, I found a burger joint for me and my dad to try out on the weekend. Its not the one we're basing our short off of but shares a similar name. The menu seems decent....

Apologies for the photo being a bit corrupted....

So yeah, pretty interesting stuff I guess....

WTF-Burger. I mean, seriously?

This afternoon I watched a childhood Christmas Special known as "The Flight Before Christmas" since well.... I felt nostalgic on this gloomy Wednesday I'm having. Felt just like I was back in the South with my parents....good times...good times....

Ended the evening off by doing some online clothes shopping for Isabelle and all her furry critter friends she's making in our new home. I have a Valentine's bear named Hannah and a slightly defective bear named Lisa (she was never sewn up completely, guessing they couldn't get the threads through completely) and I'm showing my dad the menu for another burger joint for us to try this weekend, the food selection seems decent, even have milkshakes which is an automatic "yes" in my book. They even have gluten free options so in case I go with my grandma sometime, we could get a bite to eat.

Daddy Daughter days: Mall Day!

Off to the mall! I checked Cheesecake Factory's menu again last night shortly after finishing last night's post and I think I know what I want already. I'll be getting the "fried cheese" along with a bacon cheeseburger and fries (you all probably see a theme going on here....) I'll be "pigging out" all day in celebration of being free from having any allergy to gluten.

Oooh.. just thinking about this is making my stomach rumble.  And not in a good way.  Well, enjoy!

Next up will be me picking out my beloved Isabelles and Nooks at Build a Bear, KK slider is also an available character but he is not an in store item yet and will most likely be an online exclusive for the time being.

I'm looking forward to the winter lineup the most as I really admire the outfits for Nook and Isabelle and how Build a Bear re-created them (as well as the summer outfits) I'll be sure to update you all when I get home!

In other news, on the topic of cuddly stuffed animals, my Melissa plush is going through quality control right now (she was created THAT fast?) and will then be shipped off to her new home with us, Duane, Shannon, and Brendon. And uh....hopefully not in Puerto Rico...

UPDATE: The gang's all here! Though, we ran into a not so small problem beforehand

Cheesecake Factory was a bust, the parking lot was so congested that we just had to resort to going to Olive Garden where I got some cheese squares and alfredo. Probably gonna save Cheesecake Factory for either a weekenight when dad and I are out and about, or when my Godmother comes in October.

The trip to Build a Bear was a success! We got our Tanukis and Shih Tzus. But with an added extra.... a dog by the name of K.K. Slider.

Yep, he was in the store too, we managed to get this little guy complete with the infamous "Bubblegum K.K." song while Isabelle and Nooks got either their 5 in one voice clips or the Animal Crossing theme music. The birthday cake scent was not available as scents and clothing were really picked over due to COVID. I'm guessing the shipping for said items have been delayed. So K.K., and the Isabelles got a fresh bubblegum scent since that and cotton candy were the only options. Overall a very fun day at the mall!

(Sorry for the not so good quality, this photo was taken from a kindle fire)

Daddy Daughter Days: Gluten Free? More Like uh....Not Gluten Free

Its official! I'm free from any gluten allergy! AKA: I had endless panic attacks for 3 weeks for nothing. So.... I finally got back to work after mine and my mom's vaccine. The church made some Thanksgiving dinners for their fellow customers which I thought was a neat touch! We plan on doing ONE last meal before taking a brief hiatus for a short time.

So? What about tomorrow?

Well, as stated before, I'm going to Cheesecake Factory for the first time! Checked their menu out and it seems decently promising! They got chicken fingers, cheese sticks, typical stuff I do like! Along with a good share of delicious desserts!

It all looks so mouth watering....

Another thing I have to look forward to is not 1, not 2, but 4 F*CKING PLUSHIES!!!! That's right, this was NOT a typo. I've got two Isabelles and two Nooks along with some scents and voice boxes! I checked Build a Bear's online website to see what scents they had, those being Cotton Candy, Strawberry, Bubblegum, Thin Mint, Birthday Cake (which I will be giving the Isabelles), Coconut Caramel (might give that to Tom Nook) and Lavender. Though I'm pretty sure they'll be releasing seasonal scents too.

In other news, I'm on season 3 of The Office. Still gotta watch episodes from discs 1 and 2 since my dad has been watching most of the bonus features on there and I haven't finished all the episodes on those discs yet. Though this is probably one of my new favorite moments in the show....

Hey, what can I say? I like bonus content - deleted scenes, bloopers, commentary tracks!

Daddy Daughter Days: A Typical Sunday

Today's been kinda boring. Woke up, was greeted by our 4 year old cat, had some French toast, Did the usual morning routine. Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment followed by me and mom's Covid shots. Shortly after, I'm FINALLY returning to work. Then Tuesday, I'll be getting Isabelle AND Tom Nook at the mall followed by a trip to Cheesecake Factory. So a decent amount of stuff to look forward to..... well....except for the dreaded doctor's appointment.

In the afternoon, my family and I got some Chinese food for lunch and went on to watch clips from Disney's "The Owl House" (I ain't even finished with season 1 yet) and damn has season 2 made so many story and character developments! Also, Luz x Amity....

Last night, I wound up having a call with one of my best friends. We mostly joked around about some of our common interests (like Scott Pilgrim for example) but when I was looking at merch for said franchise, I found THIS abomination!

As horrifying as it looks, I kinda wanna get it.... if only I could find one available in the US......

Daddy Daughter Days: What to Do on a Saturday....

The week sure went by fast. I've mostly been tending to my island in Animal Crossing and trying to pay off my loan (which is now at over a million bells....yikes)but with a little fishing and bug catching, its sure to pay off! 👍 I now have $50 saved for the concert. Though.... I've found 3 yard sales around the area for me and my dad to possibly go to because well... its one of those days where I really wanna get out of the house. Sure the life of an introvert stuck in the house all day is fun, but sometimes you just need a breath of fresh air, yknow? If we can't make it today, there's always tomorrow. If we wind up going anywhere, I'll update you guys.

In other news, the Bulge Burger script is going well. Still planning on takeout tomorrow (If we have any money) If we don't really have much, there's always Dollar Tree!!!

Update: It was a dud. Mostly useless crap from God knows how long ago. But some Thomas the Tank Engine trains did catch my eye. But didn't bother since my savings are going towards the Poundstone concert. Hopefully I can find some other stuff in the future. But hey. At least I got that breath of fresh air I wanted.

That "yard sale" turned out to be an "estate sale" and it was full of junk! The racks of clothes were rags and the house (cheap white paneling  in the kitchen) was full of dirty knick-knacks. But it was the first day of decent weather in about a week, so it was good to get out for a change.

In OTHER other news, my Melissa plush just got an update saying they're working on a pattern for it. Can't wait to see how she turns out!

Daddy Daughter Days: "We Tried Our Best!"

So Build a Bear recently released a so far small lineup of Animal Crossing plush toys. We've got Isabelle and Tom Nook (both Winter and Summer outfits) and KK Slider. When Isabelle and Nook came out, there was a lot of mixed thoughts, most of it being on the negative end of the spectrum. With comments such as "You could have released MORE!" or "I couldn't get my order processed, could you fix that?" or "I wanted (insert villager here)" thankfully, BAB reassured angry fans that there would be more coming to the lineup. So the commotion cooled down.... but only for while.

That was until Build a Bear released the Winter versions of Isabelle and Tom Nook

Once again, there were more angry fans. A lot were annoyed that "This was just a sh*tty re-release of Isabelle and Tom Nook" but the more recent complaint on these were that the clothes weren't sold separately, which is honestly half good cuz it saves you some money. Thankfully Build a Bear has included the option to take the clothes off so you can dress them up to your heart's content. I'll be getting Winter Isabelle on Tuesday complete with her voice clips and a cupcake scent.

In other news, the official "Bulge Burger" short is in the scripting phases as of right now. I'm kind of working on the design for my character as she's gonna be based off of what I look like irl. And due to funds, my dad and I will be trying the ACTUAL Bulge Burger next Sunday. Guess its back to Dollar Tree for us! (YAY) Seriously though, if that's the case, we'll make sure to avoid chili at ALL COSTS! Seriously, dad just stick with frozen meals like I did.

How best to story-board that Bulge Burger script?  Hmm...

Oh, and you don't have to tell me twice about that Dollar Tree canned chili! 😣

Daddy Daughter Days: A Rocky Start

Almost done with my share of the panels for this short of me and my dad. Its about us driving to a burger joint that opened some time ago, this particular place is famous for their "Stuffed Burgers" with some of them having ingredients that shouldn't even be in a burger such as fruity pebbles and Oreos. Thankfully this place has normal, edible burgers. So its something to keep in mind when my dad and I have our takeout Sunday. I'm thinking before we actually animate this short, we could try this place on Sunday to see how their food tastes. Either way the short will have a pretty explosive ending.

I'm not eating there if something "explosive" is the result!

By the way, check out my dad's channel!

I would share photos from the storyboard but the files got corrupted. Dang it...

I'll check it out when I get home!👍

Daddy Daughter Days: Animal Crossing New Plushies

Got $30 saved up for the concert! My mom was helping out at church last night so I stayed with my grandma for a few hours, we went out to dinner for a bit and I did some chores for her, by that I mean taking care of a few dishes. Today I plan on just relaxing for the time being and working on my usual projects. Also... I should be getting the Animal Crossing Build a Bear plushies soon, I'll be getting the summer ones first and then winter ones later on.

(Isabelle is very excited.)

In other news, my aunt\godmother says she's aiming to try to come up in October. Besides, half the area she's in will probably be dead by then.

(Seriously though, the Governor there is basically cheetohead's ass kisser.) Yes, I can be as colorful as possible, my mom actually said the following noted above.

BTW! I'm currently working on a storyboard for me and my dad's next cartoon for his YouTube channel. The idea was pitched during a car ride the other week. So yeah, a lot to look forward to.

Daddy Daughter Days: DETHKLOK!!!!

Remember that show I mentioned? Yeeeeaaaaah it was Metalocalypse. I'm so far, only 6 episodes in and I was NOT disappointed. One of the reasons I watched this show was that it was created by Brendon Small, creator of Home Movies!

Metalocalypse has a very....strange plot to say the least. From what I can see, its just about a band of 4 beefy metalheads. That's really about it....then again I'm not that far into season 1 so I might understand the meaning the more I watch the series. I'm currently on episode 6 "Dethfam" where the members of Dethklok reunite with their parents, much to their annoyance.

Wait.... THERE'S A MOVIE COMING OUT?????? Sheeesh, do I have a lot to look forward to.

Until then, here's my favorite scene from the series so far:

So, these are Russian metalheads? I'll have to watch some of these!

I also found some Home Movies bumpers I've never seen before!

Daddy Daughter Days: Its Been THAT LONG?!?

Ah, the internet. So much to offer to so many people that use it. We have many sites today like YouTube and Instagram. But there was a time when those sites....never existed.

Before Instagram and Facebook and Hell (Twitter), we have Blogger! The site we're using now! But the site I will be discussing today is....

DEVIANTART!

Deviantart is a website that was founded on August 7th of the year 2000. This site is meant for artists of all ages and skills to unite as one and post all of their proud work. I didn't know about the site until I was 11 or so when I was searching up King of the Hill fan art for uh..... certain reasons because I may or may not be simping for a character no one cares about. But today is a very special holiday.

Its DA'S 21ST BIRTHDAY!!!!! (or....rather it WAS as of August 7th.) and I managed to participate in their little campaign (just to get the badge for it)

I'm responsible for drawing the "Birthday Fella"

But that aside, I've got my shift at work tonight as well as running a few errands. Also gonna finish some projects and other stuff.

In other news, my Godmother is sadly unable to make it up due to her living in one of the areas where Covid is at its worst. She said she's gonna try coming October-November (I'm not holding my breath though.)

Though....today I'm gonna be trying out a TV show today!!!! I'll review it either later or tomorrow!

Too bad about the cancelled visit, but I think you'll really enjoy the PBS News Hour!

Daddy Daughter Days: SOOUBWAY!

Its Sunday! One of my FAVORITE days of the week as my dad and I get to lounge for a bit before ordering take out! Its been kind of a tradition the past few years after my mom got an evening job back in 2017. Since then my dad and I order take out almost every Sunday (while picking something up for the missus.) I've pushed our next Dollar Store Dinner to September 5th as a celebratory holiday. My dad and I cane to an agreement that tonight's dinner would come from Subway, or as we like to call it, "Sooubway" thanks to TheOdd1sOut. Plus we had some coupons on us and thought It'd be good to take advantage of it.

SOOUBAWAY!!!!!

I've been spending the last few days playing "Animal Crossing New Horizons" just so I can catch up on my island. Recently, a new villager named Bunnie moved in, well... I got her to move in thanks to the Amiibo functionality. Speaking of  Amiibo, I'm planning on getting the Sanrio Amiibo cards soon. Also, turns out I have $25 of the $83+ for the Paula Poundstone concert. We're gonna call the venue today to ask when she'll be playing since the website has the dates messed up apparently?

In other news, my godmother is planning on visiting in a few weeks. And we have a little tradition for every time we visit.

Hint: Teen, aunt, and the mall.

My aunt\godmother and I love going shopping whenever she visits, we particularly go to Build a Bear amongst other stores and ending it off with some soft pretzels. (Already got my mind set on the Isabelle and Tom Nook plushies that just released.) The two of us will discuss plans via a phone call tomorrow night. Now, my dad with his two cents.

Well, of course the near-by Sooubway had a hastily scrawled sign on the door saying "Closed Sunday 8/8/21."  I ended up driving a couple miles to another franchise.  Mariel wanted to try one of the new s'mores cookies, so naturally they didn't have any. Ah, well. Another sub-mission completed... against all odds!

Daddy Daughter Days: Saving....Lots and Lots of Saving.....

So. My dad and I will be taking a step back from yard sales for about a month for the time being. Why? Cuz I'm saving up for our tickets to the Paula Poundstone concert. Cuz, I checked how much it would be for 2 people....let's just say it isn't all that cheap....

BIG YIKES!

I've currently saved $15 of the $83.68 checkpoint. My work shift along with general chores should help me get a little extra cash to afford the tickets. So today, my dad and I are probably gonna just stay home and work on some side projects. I still REALLY wanna do another Dollar Store dinner sometime but that shall be at a later date.

I scored another MEP part today where I will be editing Dixie and Cash from Fox and the Hound 2! (They're a popular choice in the editing\animash community) so there's some content along with a couple more short animatics of one of my many OCS.

ALSO!!!!!

My mom and I are getting vaccinated soon!

We've been a bit hesitant about getting the vaccination cuz of some bad side effects in a couple of them like false positives for breast cancer and blood clots. And father has been trying to get us to go for quite some time now, (even using Olivia Rodrigo's visit to The White House as a way of convincing me) So looks like we've got a very interesting week or so for the family here! Now here's father with his 2 cents.

I spent a few hours at my friend's house working on a top secret project.

OK, it's not really that glamourous.  We're building a small speaker cabinet... for no reason at all!

I bought some vinyl covering and we spent a few hours cutting panels of it to size.  Then we had to paint on a thick coating of contact cement.  As soon as I turned my back, the covering rolled up like one of the dead sea scrolls and got glue all over the side that wasn't supposed to be glued.

What. A. Mess. It was like Laurel and Hardy, except neither Laurel nor Hardy would have been that stupid.

We managed to get one side of the cabinet covered, which was a bit tricky because
of how the corners came together. But now, having done one side, we'll know what to do and, perhaps more importantly, what not to do!

Daddy Daughter Days: Thai'd Up

My parent's anniversary is finally here.... Its amazing to think they got married 30+ years ago, wound up with 4 cats, then ME! But what will the family be doing to celebrate? Go out for Thai food of course!!! I'll most likely get some McDonalds or something on the way home cuz I'm like...the pickiest eater on the planet. Hell I'm VERY MUCH convinced that I may have food neophobia. BUT!!!!! I may try a small appetizer cuz well, like my dad said "At least try SOMETHING" so why not.

In other news, which has left me very devastated... The popular PBS Kids show, Arthur, will be ending its run in 2022 after 25 years on air. Arthur was commonly known as PBS Kids' longest running cartoon show. I grew up on PBS Kids for a good 13 years of my childhood (cuz we didn't have cable or good internet access at our old house) up until we moved where I have a better access to the internet. Now....there could be 3 good reasons as to why the show is ending.

1) The Mr. Ratburn Controversy from 2019.

For context, a couple of years ago, Arthur released an episode where the well known teacher, Mr. Ratburn, would be getting married. Only to find out that at the wedding, he would be marrying someone of the same sex. This sparked a TON of backlash from the conservative ❄s out there, with Alabama flat out REFUSING to air the episode cuz well....its Alabama, what do you expect? So this reason may be likely? Though I'm not so sure...

2) Making room for new shows.

PBS has been airing a lot of new shows. most of then not really being all that good these days, then again I'm just someone in my late teens judging a channel I haven't watched since I was 13. But sometimes I will watch PBS either out of boredom or for nostalgia. But this reason is possibly the most likely as the executives over at the network are like "Ah screw it, let's just replace it with some other show."

3) Mark Brown's Own Decision.

This one is also probably the most likely, but depending on whether or not Mark Brown, the creator of Arthur, was involved with anything moneywise from the show (which there is a good chance he was) he would have continued with the show, if he wasn't getting any extra money from like PBS or other networks that ran Arthur. There's a chance he has decided to call it quits. (Well....he kind of already did, as of Winter 2022) This along with the second theory are most likely could be why Arthur will be closing the curtains once and for all.

It truly is

Father? Do you have anything to comment on this tragic news?

Well, there's always Arthur, All Grown Up:

There's always a chance the characters, themselves, will come up with some new shows...

Daddy Daughter Days: What AREN'T Q-Tips Used For?

So my dad went to and ENT (As noted previously) and well....he was given a heads up that you apparently SHOULD NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE use Q-Tips to clean your ears.... So my dad asked the doctor "Well what are they used for then?" and the doctor replies "To remove makeup." Soo, an incoming dad joke with a little bit of sarcasm jumps in with "Fine, I'll just start wearing makeup." Soooo I guess I can't use Q-Tips anymore.... Which is odd cuz I use those fuzzy toothpicks all throughout the day. Doctors these days....y'know?

Seriously, what am I supposed to do every time my inner ear itches? Take time off from work and shell out a $45 co-pay to have this guy's assistant turn the "Ear-i-gator" fire hose on me? What's hilarious, is that my primary care doctor sent me to the E.N.T. because there was "so much wax that she couldn't see my ear drum!"  The E.NT. doctor took one look and said there was no wax at all.  Doctors, these days... y'know?

In other news, due to recent peer pressure on TikTok, I download the infamous "Talking Angela 2" game. For those who have been living under a rock, this game is part of a franchise of a game called "Talking Tom" where you have a grey kitten that will repeat anything you say.... yes.... anything.... Since then it has spawned a string of other games, a web series, toys, and whatever merchandise you're willing to shell money out for.

The game I've been playing in particular, as mentioned above is "My Talking Angela 2" which was available on the Amazon App store (as are all of the other talking Tom games.) The game is pretty simple, you get your own cat (obviously named Angela) and you do the basic feed, clean, bathe, and rinse and repeat. However, you can also do fun mini games like baking, and performing concerts. There is however, one teensy problem for some people in this world.... one word, microtransactions. This is where the moneybags come in for Angela and all of her talking friends, yes, you can get a ton of free things like money, gems, and activity tokens. BUT! There is another alternative to getting the mentioned items, it requires a back account or credit card, and that sweet sweet dough.... This is sadly a common thing with apps like this, you get a good amount of free items but the app will fall to its knees and beg for your wallet. I'm currently getting all of my items for free as these transactions are all but optional.

Don't give me that look., Angie.

Overall, this game is a really good play, well...minus the constant ads and the deadly microtransactions. Highly recommend it as well as the first Angela game where you can raise her from a baby to I guess teenager? That shall be all on MY end. I'll let my dad speak now <3

Not much more to add. We're going for Thai food on Friday in honor of my wedding anniversary.  (Aw, come on, Mariel. At least try something!)

There's A First Time For Everything

Where we live, we've got a little chain called "Mighty Taco." And let me tell ya, my parents always treated it as the to die ...
